February 7, 2010 10:30 PM
Decided to post this piece... its a few months old now but its one of my faves.
It's kinda similar to a new one I'm working on at the moment.
Nanny State

A
really interesting article i read yesterday about the recent increase in overbearing and draconian laws.
Falling
January 28, 2010 8:21 PM
I've been working on a really big piece today, centring around falling fatties. I have done falling before many times. I really like the concept, but because this one is bigger, with more fatties, and i have bled my brain dry of ways they could fall.
This afternoon I have been googling skydiving images. They are kinda boring, as I guess skydivers want to keep a certain level of control in their fall, and I'm looking for more of a wild plummeting to earth type feeling.
Some New Stuff
January 19, 2010 1:35 PM
Ok, you know how I said yesterday that I get distracted on the internet?
Well I have just spent a good hour designing my dream shoes via
Shoes of Prey... It seems I might never have to wander aimlessly through the city again looking for awkward, colour clashing shoes again!!! (I haven't had much luck with that since the only store in Melbourne that sold
Eley Kishimoto heels closed down).
Here are a couple of pictures of some recent work...
Long Time No See
January 18, 2010 12:12 PM
One of my New Years resolutions is to be more diligent about blogging my work. I tend to get distracted when i get on the computer (too much cool stuff on the internet).
Hopefully this resolution wont go the way of "lay off the fast food" and "keep my bedroom tidy".
Exciting News: I have my first solo show coming up in May at
The National Grid Gallery in Sydney. I'm really thrilled and working hard to get a good chunk of work together. I'll post more details as it gets a bit closer.
Moving House
October 2, 2009 1:45 AM
Its been a busy, internetless few weeks. I have moved house from my little apartment to a nice large house with a kickass garage to make lots of mess in. It'll be great to spread out and perhaps get into some different mediums.
Just before moving I did some pictures for Australian music site
Mess+Noise heres one...
looking forward to getting the studio set up and some new work going through there.

New Work

The Fatties are back, i was pretty hooked on drawing slim girls, but then slowly and surely waist lines started expanding and thing started getting messier. It's taken me a while to get these guys to a point where i am happy with them, (see way below) but now i dig them. Here are some recent pieces...

More Fatties
March 30, 2009 9:25 PM
First it was fat ladies eating hamburgers, then they were eating spaghetti, then the spaghetti turned to hair.
home again
March 2, 2009 2:51 PM
Got home from Japan a couple of weeks back. It took me a while to wind down, I always feel really antsy when getting back from going overseas. I have been drawing fat ladies lots and lots, which is odd because I saw no one fat while in Japan and I have never drawn fat people before.
They also have big teeth.

In JP
February 8, 2009 2:11 PM
Headed over to Japan for a bit of a trip, partially to take shots of a model friend of mine who was going over and partly to give me an excuse to spend some time alone, to draw and work on my Japanese.
Who knew Pantone made bikes!?
the Japanese, thats who!
The First Post

Getting back into things after a bit of a break have been tough, but inspiration has been trickling back bit by bit.
At the market the other day and found some really pretty swap cards with birds on them.
